Serenade Duo—featuring flutist Michelle LaPorte and guitarist Gerry Saulter—is an award-winning chamber ensemble captivating audiences worldwide with their elegant performances, cross-cultural programming, and engaging stage presence. As concert artists, educators, and advocates for “Global Chamber Music,” they have toured extensively across the U.S., Europe, Canada, and the Caribbean, performing everywhere from Carnegie Hall to international embassies and festivals.

Celebrated for their dynamic blend of flute and classical guitar, Serenade Duo is known for bringing richly diverse repertoire to concert halls, cultural centers, libraries, museums, and schools. They have recorded for Centaur Records and are recognized artists for Miyazawa Flutes, Alhambra Guitars, and Royal Classic Strings. The Duo has been honored with numerous accolades, including multiple Artists International Distinguished Chamber Music Awards and repeat recognition from The American Prize.

From international premieres to Long Island’s local arts venues, Serenade Duo creates musical experiences that are both intimate and expansive—bridging classical traditions and contemporary expression for audiences of all ages.

Lauren Wagner is the Executive Director of the Long Island Arts Alliance, where she leads advocacy, policy, and community initiatives to strengthen the arts and cultural sector across Nassau and Suffolk Counties. A passionate champion for arts education, nonprofit sustainability, and creative collaboration, Lauren brings a decade of experience in cultural leadership to her work. When she's not convening arts leaders or testifying for arts funding, she’s likely chasing after her two young boys or crafting crayon art.
