Founded in 2006, Mahanaim is a post-secondary school focused on classical music. Based on Christian principles, Mahanaim prepares students to become distinguished musicians and cultural leaders for their society.
Mahanaim educates and cultivates excellent musicians by providing music programs grounded in education of the mind within a faith-based environment, based on talent and not financial ability, making a conservatory-style education accessible to more underserved populations around the world.
By 2030, Mahanaim will be a degree-granting, accredited music conservatory. It will serve a diverse student body of talented musicians from New York and around the globe, who are able to get a top music education regardless of financial status.

Lauren Wagner is the Executive Director of the Long Island Arts Alliance, where she leads advocacy, policy, and community initiatives to strengthen the arts and cultural sector across Nassau and Suffolk Counties. A passionate champion for arts education, nonprofit sustainability, and creative collaboration, Lauren brings a decade of experience in cultural leadership to her work. When she's not convening arts leaders or testifying for arts funding, she’s likely chasing after her two young boys or crafting crayon art.
