Carriage House Players (formerly “Arena Players”) is a theatre company located in Centerport, NY. We are dedicated to bringing quality contemporary and classical theatre to our Long Island audiences. It is our pleasure to bring classical theatre to life for a modern audience.
We hold a yearly Summer Shakespeare Theatre Festival located on the grounds of the Vanderbilt Museum and Planetarium on the Courtyard Stage.
We spend the rest of our year bringing challenging contemporary and thought provoking plays to our more intimate Carriage House venue. “Arena Players”, founded by Fred De Feis, has elected a new board of directors in lieu of his retirement, all of whom are dedicated to carrying on the Arena spirit and Fred’s artistic vision into the future for many years to come. We look forward to seeing you in our audience!

Lauren Wagner is the Executive Director of the Long Island Arts Alliance, where she leads advocacy, policy, and community initiatives to strengthen the arts and cultural sector across Nassau and Suffolk Counties. A passionate champion for arts education, nonprofit sustainability, and creative collaboration, Lauren brings a decade of experience in cultural leadership to her work. When she's not convening arts leaders or testifying for arts funding, she’s likely chasing after her two young boys or crafting crayon art.
