COMING SOON | LI ARTS DATA COLLECTIVE
A collaborative effort to track arts engagement across Long Island, one ZIP code at a time.
What Is It?
The LI Arts Data Collective is a new initiative launched by Long Island Arts Alliance to help arts and culture organizations across Nassau and Suffolk Counties track and share basic, consistent data.
Each month, participating organizations submit just two data points:
-
ZIP codes served
-
Attendance totals
The goal? To build a clear, collective picture of how the arts reach and serve communities across Long Island- something that’s never been mapped in this way before.
Why It Matters
This idea was born from conversations during our July 2025 Creative Community Huddle, where sector leaders expressed a need for better visibility, stronger advocacy tools, and shared understanding of where the arts are happening, and where they’re not.
When organizations share simple data like ZIP codes and attendance, we can:
-
Identify gaps in access
-
Visualize district-level engagement
-
Strengthen funding proposals
-
Support advocacy and public policy
-
Tell a unified story of the arts as essential regional infrastructure
How It Works
-
Download the monthly data collection template using the form below
-
Track your attendance and ZIP codes throughout the month
-
Submit your data through a separate online form by the last Friday of each month
-
Your data will be aggregated and anonymized into a regional snapshot. No individual organization will be identified
This isn’t about evaluation, it’s about collaboration.
Get Started
To begin collecting your data for this month, fill out the form below to download the spreadsheet. The template includes all Long Island ZIP codes pre-filled—please do not delete any rows, even if you didn’t serve that area. Keeping the format consistent allows us to align and compare submissions effectively.
At the top of the sheet, please enter your:
-
Organization name
-
Street address, including ZIP code
You’ll submit your completed data through a separate form each month.
Privacy & Participation
-
All submitted data is aggregated and anonymized
-
No personally identifiable information is collected
-
You can opt to have your organization name listed publicly as a participating member (no data shared, just recognition!)
