Eligibility:
Scholar-Artist Award Applicants must:
- Be nominated by their high school; with applications submitted by a district administrator.
- Be graduating seniors from the Class of 2024.
- Represent the highest level of artistic excellence.
- Demonstrate superior academic achievement with an un-weighted grade point average of 90 or above.
- Submit an essay and a portfolio of their work/performance.
Please note that an Official School Transcript with unweighted average is required for the application. The transcript must include information from:
- All four quarters from Ninth Grade
- All four quarters from Tenth Grade
- First half of Eleventh Grade
A USB with the completed application materials as well as either a video of performance or a portfolio of work is to be mailed by the Arts Educator.
The envelope must clearly state which of the five arts disciplines the student is applying:
-DANCE
-MEDIA ARTS
-MUSIC (INCLUDING COMPOSITION)
-THEATRE (INCLUDING THEATRE TECH)
-VISUAL ARTS

Once completed, these documents will be added to your USB and submitted with your application along with your Official Transcript, Essay, and Portfolio of your work/Recording of your performance.

Recording Requirements:
Applications for Dance, Music and Theater must be submitted with a video of a performance. Please review the recording requirements below prior to submitting your application.
Rubrics & Requirements:
The following rubrics and applicant requirements provide detailed outlines for how each application will be assessed and scored within each discipline. These metrics help reviewers stay consistent and provide a useful reference for everyone involved in the process.
Personal Essay:
Each Applicant is asked to elaborate on the following two prompts:
Describe the way(s) the arts have enriched your life.
Explain how you are involved in the arts.
