Farrell Fritz, P.C.has a very large pro bono practice by far the largest on Long Island and has a commitment to its large not for profit practice. The firm is very community oriented, and many Farrell Fritz attorneys sit on the boards of local not for profits, which distinguishes the firm in the area.

Farrell Fritz helped to bring LIAA to life. On a pro bono basis, members of the tax practice group, including Louis Vlahos, who laid the legal groundwork for its incorporation, also helped LIAA attain tax exempt status. Together with Steven Davi, counsel in the firm’s Litigation and Labor and Employment groups, they have provided ongoing guidance on employment and other corporate matters. Steve represented the Alliance when penalties were assessed against it by the state workers’ compensation board and disability benefits bureau. Thanks to his efforts, all of the penalties were rescinded and the matters dismissed.
